Illinois Wage Payment Collection Act

Required for: Private Sector Construction Contractors and Subcontractors
In addition to the general provisions of the Wage Payment and Collection Act which establish when, where and how often wages must be paid and prohibit deductions from wages or final compensation without the employee's consent, Section 13.5 of IWPCA establishes that general contractors on some private sector construction projects can be liable for underpayments to employees of that contractor’s subcontractors. Affected contractors and subcontractors are required to post this public notice at job sites. Only one poster is necessary at each job site, no matter the number of contractors present.
