Poster Update Log: Oregon Poster Update

What Changed

Oregon has made extensive updates across several mandatory labor law notices, effective mid-2025. The changes impact wage thresholds, protected leave language, complaint filing guidance, and workplace protections for employees affected by sexual or domestic violence. Employers are required to display the latest notices reflecting these modifications, which are now valid from July 1st, 2025 to June 30, 2026, unless otherwise noted.

Key Details Included in the Notices:

  • Breaks, Meals, Overtime, and Paychecks:
Language regarding overtime eligibility was revised. Now stating that over 48 hours qualify for overtime if you only work in agriculture.
  • Complaint Filing Instructions:
Updated verbiage provides clearer direction on where and how employees can file a complaint regarding labor violations.
  • Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA):
Removed outdated reference to 2024 adoption/placement language. Now includes more leave to blood and non-biological family members. As well as updated Pregnancy/Maternity leave.
  • Minimum Wage Effective July 1, 2025:
Oregon’s minimum wage varies by region:
    • $16.30/hour – Portland Metro Area (parts of Clackamas, Multnomah, & Washington Counties)
    • $15.05/hour – Standard Counties (e.g., Benton, Lane, Marion, etc.)
    • $14.05/hour – Nonurban Counties (e.g., Baker, Coos, Klamath, Umatilla, etc.)
  • Expanded Workplace Protections:
Updated notice strengthens language around protections for victims of domestic or sexual violence.
