What's Changing



Florida's minimum wage is set to increase on September 30, 2024. The hourly wage for non-tipped employees will rise from $12 to $13. For tipped employees, the minimum wage will increase to $9.98 per hour. This is part of a gradual increase approved by voters in 2020, aiming to reach a $15 minimum wage by 2026. Each year until then, the minimum wage will rise by $1. After 2026, further adjustments will be based on inflation.

  • Florida businesses must display Federal and State of Florida employment law posters where they can be easily viewed by employees.
